Abstract: With the development in long life, high performance and reliability of a spacecraft, the molecular contamination is becoming a more and more important factor to mission success. Numerical simulation is one of main tools for evaluating contamination level. In this article, the studies on simulation methods for return flux of molecular contamination are reviewed. The theory, computational detail, and applicability of methods are discussed.
