Abstract:
The serious space environments, such as high vacuum, high and low temperature, strong radiation, atomic oxygen, and micro-gravity, brings forward special demands for the structure and performance of space grease. The space grease should be of higher reliability and longer operation life in order to assure the long-period lubrication of spacecraft motion parts. The lribological performance of space lubrication grease is determined by its base stock, thickener agents and additives, of which the current research and development tendency are discussed in this paper.
