Abstract:
This paper proposes a technique of determining parameters in an acceleration test for the space charged particle radiation effects on thermal control coatings (TCC). Based on the characteristics of the space charged particle radiation environment, and the principle of effect equivalency, we replace the mono-energetic charged particle radiation effect for the space charged particle radiation effect to develop an equivalent dose calculation method, which is called the equivalent energy spectrum method; and also to develop a method for the calculation of the acceleration factor in testing the efficiency of acceleration with a high dose rate, which is called the acceleration factor determination method in the acceleration test. Furthermore, with these two methods, we have designed the test parameters in the simulation test of static proof Kapton second surface mirrors under the GEO electron radiation.
