Abstract: This paper first discusses the sci–tech novelty search, with focus on the national defense fields. With consideration of the novelty search as an indispensable task in the space engineering, this paper proposes to enhance the quality and the efficiency of this work. The commonly used foreign and national database resources are discussed. In the end, some suggestions on improving the related information service work are put forward.
