Abstract:
This paper presents the laboratory simulation of the effects of the spacecraft surface charging and discharging on the satellite structural ground potential, including the test principle, the experiments and the results, and offers some protective measures. The satellite structural ground potential is the reference potential for the satellite and it willinfluence the satellite's normal working condition. The ground potential transients wound interfere with the electronics, especially, the digital electronics. Based on this fact, an interference test method is developed. An experiment of the surface discharging was carded out to generate the structural ground outential transients and to study their effects on the output of a secondary power supply of a DC-DC converter.
