Abstract: This paper reviews the historical background, the definitions and the contents of environmental engineering tailoring and environmental test tailoring, as two parts of engineering tailoring. The corresponding tailoring requirements in 810F and GJB150A are presented in the form of tables and discussed. It is pointed out that the description of tailoring in these two standards might be improved. The tailoring degree of contents and the test methods in 810F are specially addressed.
