Abstract:
The mapping techniques in the international lunar probe programs are summarized. Three major mapping methods, which are optical stereo observation, radar interferometry and Lidar, are analyzed and compared, and the 3D imaging technique is proposed for the Chinese lunar probe program. An imaging information model of 3D remote sensing data for the lunar detector is described and analyzed in detail, in terms of data expression and processing and data storage. The scheme proposed for the Chinese lunar probe program consists of a 3D remote sensing data model combined with the information processing system of satellite 3D images.
