Abstract:
An acceleration and aerodynamic force combined test system is developed to assess the structural strength and the environmental worthiness of an aircraft and its inside. The LJ-1 centrifuge with radius of 10.8 m-radius can accommodate typical payloads including explosive payloads and oversized items, but the nacelle of LJ-1 can usually only be fixed in the horizontal direction or the perpendicular direction and there is no control system for adjusting aerodynamic force on the test units in accordance with the acceleration. An innovative structure is proposed to lock the nacelle in an arbitrary direction. The nacelle is locked by an innovative expanding sleeve structure in any direction, with an anti-overturn torque up to 13000 N·m. The control electric circuit and gaseous pipes are fixed on the centrifuge. The computer in the upper level sends the speed data to PLC on the centrifuge through optical fiber ethernet, and PLC controls the pressure of the gasbag according to the acceleration. The test results show that the centrifuge can successfully perform combined environment testing with controlled aerodynamic force on test units in accordance with the acceleration load.
