Abstract: This paper discusses the importance of the evaluation of space environmental effects and of establishing Chinese own space environment security system. Suggestions are made of evaluating space environmental effects on spacecraft materials, including the development of an assessment system, new technology and methods on simulation, analyses and modeling, in-flight monitoring, and ground-based tests.
