Abstract:
The pressurized cabin of a manned spacecraft provides the working and living places for astronauts. where it is necessary to control the noise. This paper carries out a case study ofa medium-term-resident manned spacecraft to identify the main noise sources, and to control the main noise sources by absorption, insulation, elimination and attenuation. A noise model is built based on the noise sources and the control measures for spacecraft. An estimation of the noise levels and the distributions is made by the numerical simulation. and the noise distribution is measured experimentally in the cabin. The simulation results and the measurements indicate that the present noise control method can satisfy the requirements of the noise control.
