Abstract:
In this paper, the propagation and attenuation behavior of thermal shock wave in Al alloy induced by electron beam radiation are studied. First a new Al alloy constitutive model is proposed based on radius regression, and then the thermal shock wave effect is simulated with the Al alloy model and DRAM1D program. The results are compared with those of experiment and calculated by an ideal elastic-plastic model. It is shown that, the attenuation of thermal shock wave in Al alloy is faster with the use of the Al alloy model based on radius regression than that obtained from the ideal elastic-plastic model, as in good agreement with the experiment.
