Abstract:
The simulation experiments were carried out for the cumulative impact of small space debris on solar cell by using the plasma drag small particle accelerator in the Center for Space Science and Applied Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences. After the impact, the craters on the surface of the solar cells were observed under microscope, and the max voltage, current and output power were recorded. The results agree with the analytic results, and the power reduction of the solar cell is found to be due to its surface damage.
