Abstract: The structure of the spacecraft is a most important part in its development. Structural materials are the most important factor for the performance of the spacecraft structure. This paper discusses the application of three kinds of structural materials, that is, the composite materials, the metallic materials and the thermal protection materials, which are widely used in spacecraft structure. The future requirements for materials researches are pointed out.
