Abstract:
To calibrate the remote sensing infrared instruments and microwave instruments on satellites, a space environmental simulation facility is designed in Shanghai Institute of Satellite Engineering. The facility uses five G-M refrigerators to cool the cryo-panel to below 20 K in experiments. This is the first facility for the calibration of both microwave and infrared remote sensing instruments in China. It is shown by experiments that the performance of the facility can satisfy the requirements in the corresponding design specifications.
