Abstract:
The PhotoMultiplier Tube (PMT) of the main probe in satellite’s payloads is very sensitive to magnetic environment, so it is important to carry out magnetic compatibility analysis and control. In this paper, the magnetic field and the magnetic moment of a certain satellite are analyzed and calculated based on the characteristics of the satellite. A scheme for a magnetic shield is examined and tested. Based on the test results, an optimization design of the magnetic shield is proposed. From the influence of the magnetic compatibility on the attitude control, the constraint conditions for the satellite design are suggested. In the end, a magnetic compatibility analysis is given.
