Abstract:
The sample sealing structures and the technology of the US Apollo program are reviewed, as well as the current research situation of the Mars sample return mission. According to the requirements for sampling and sealing in the third stage of Chinese lunar exploration project, a variety of sealing materials and structures are analyzed, including the indium alloy used as the soft metal in the knife edge sealing, the automatic brazing and the explosive welding. Meanwhile, the current domestic situation of the theoretical and experimenml studies of the deep space sample sealing is analyzed. Finally, with regard to the sealing structures and sealing materials, we comment on the optimal research directions to provide some guidance for China's deep-space exploration plan in the future.
