Abstract:
The traditional experimental study of the explosion with liquid propellant explosion is difficult, therefore, simulation studies are necessary. By using the Autodyn software, the shock waves generated by the explosion of liquid propellant in the air with liquid propellant are simulated in one-dimensional and two-dimensional cases, respectively. The results are compared with those obtained from the empirical formula and the experimental studies, with good agreement.. Not only can the peak overpressure be obtained accurately, but also the attenuation process can be made clear. The simulations thus play a significant role for the safety protection and the damage assessment for liquid propellant explosions.
