Abstract:
This paper discusses the overlapping of various resources, such as personnel, sites, instruments and devices, among parallel projects. To deal with that problem, one may, as is pointed out in this paper, start from a reasonable configuration of resources and a careful planning of projects, go through a regulation of project priorities in different stages of their life cycle, and finally come to a further optimization of the resource configuration by the method of resource balancing or resource constraining. The above-mentioned approach may enable the maximum utilization of the available resources while reducing necessary cost, to achieve an efficient resource management.
