Abstract:
This paper studies the effects of proton irradiation on electrical properties of two kinds of antistatic thermal control coatings (ITO/F46/Ag, ITO/OSR/Ag). The maximun fluence of proton is set as 1.5×1015 p/cm2, and the surface resistivity of each sample is measured in situ under different fluences. It is found that the surface resistivity of the samples is in an exponentially decreasing trend for both kinds of coatings, with a recovery of resistivity when the sample is re-exposed to the air. This paper analyzes the degradation mechanism of electrical properties with simple mathematical models, which may serve as a theoretical basis for developing new thermal control coatings.
