Abstract: The modal analysis and test is an important way to obtain the characteristics of the loaded cylinder, the key part of the satellite structure. Modal tests were conducted for two structure design states of the loaded cylinder by the hanging method and the fixing method. A comparison of results between modal analysis and test shows that different methods will affect the results and thus the right modal test method should be selected according to the test objects.
