Abstract:
In view of the fact that the overall planning of the experiments in various fields of space science, technology and application is limited, the mechanism of some core space technologies is not clear, and the space, as a strategic commanding height, could hardly serve as the driving force for the national economy and the people’s livelihood, academician Luan Enjie put forward the concept of space proving grounds (SPG) for the first time, hoping to systematically planning and directing the follow-up space test tasks by building a series of space facilities. Through an extensive investigation of the status quo of the space tests both at home and abroad, this paper analyzes the development trend of the space experiments, then shows that the concept of the SPG can be categorized into three aspects, namely, the space segment, the ground segment, and the soft environment. The phased objectives and the system service framework in the future are also proposed, with suggestions for China’s “systematic and phased” construction of the space test infrastructure, for the decision-making of China’s “on demand and highly efficient” space test management.
