Abstract:
The dynamic characteristics of space inflatable deployable structures are obtained by using flexible piezoelectric elements, With the general finite element software ABAQUS, a frequency response analysis method is developed for the space inflatable structure with consideration of the piezoelectric coupling, including the nonlinear inflatable prestress analysis, the modal analysis, and the frequency response characteristic analysis. With a typical space inflatable rod as an example, its frequency response curve is obtained by means of the finite element simulation and the ground experiment, respectively. The formant frequency deviation between the two is less than 2.3%, which validates the effectiveness of the simulation analysis method for the inflatable deployable structure. This work provides a reference for further research of the dynamic characteristics of space inflatable deployment structures and the implementation of the structural optimization design.
