Abstract:
The miniaturization and the high integration level of the active electronically scanned antenna(AESA) are facing severe challenges for the heat dissipation. The high thermal power consumption and the high heat flux received have become the bottleneck in improving the electrical performance of the antenna. This paper reviews the advances and the development trend of the cooling techniques at home and abroad for the AESA are reviewed in this paper. The advantages, disadvantages, and the scope of application of the common cooling methods of the AESA are summarized, and the recommendations are proposed for the selection of the suitable cooling method for the AESA, to provide reference for the thermal design of AESAs.
