Abstract:
By using the inverse cube formula for calculating the magnetic field strength based on the magnetic moment, a new spherical drawing method is proposed by combining the inverse cube formula with the spherical drawing method. The focus is on the application of this method in the measurement of the magnetic moment of spacecraft in the magnetic test, that is, using the spherical mapping method in the data collection, to calculate the magnetic moment of the satellite body with the inverse cubic formula from a number of measured values of the magnetic field strength along the sphere of the measurement. The total magnetic moment of the satellite from the magnetic moments at three known points is simulated by using this method for validation. It is shown that this method can achieve a relative error of not more than 4% when the number of measurement points is more than or equal to thirty.
