Abstract: With the rapid upgrading of the space equipment, the commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products, which can significantly reduce the R&D time and cost for the space equipment, have found increasingly wider utilization. The way to carry out the test and the evaluation for the COTS products is thus worth considering. This paper comprehensively analyzes the test and the evaluation for COTS products used as the USSF space equipment from three aspects, namely, the horizontal scope, the vertical depth, and the existing problems, to help the test and the evaluation of China's space COTS products.
