Abstract:
In view to selecting appropriate dynamic tests and the related test conditions for reusable spacecraft, this paper investigates the test method and the design of test conditions for two kinds of typical reusable spacecraft developed in other countries. Firstly, the durability test, the damage tolerance tests, and the non-destructive inspection of space shuttles are discussed, with an analysis and a comparison between the MIL-STD-1530D
Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) and the GJB 67.6A—2008
Military Airplane Structural Strength Specification Part 6:Repeated Loads, Durability And Damage Tolerance. Then, the random vibration test level and the test duration designed for units on the Falcon-9 based on the Miner Criteria are compared with the calculation result according to the NASA-HDBK-7005 and the MIL-STD-1540E. Finally, suggestions are made for the domestic researches for developing China’s reusable spacecraft and the way to carry out dynamic test as well as to determine the test specifications.
