Abstract:
With the new requirement of equipment test and evaluation, the operational test and evaluation (OT&E) of China’s space equipment is facing great challenges. In view of the characteristics and the existing problems of the OT&E of USAF space equipment, this paper analyzes the operational test activities of the USAF space equipment in recent years and several targeted strategies and specific measures for the OT&E of USAF space equipment. The strategies include the spiral operational test and the classified operational test, in the system levels and with the system complexities, respectively. The measures include the threat representation resource construction for the OT&E of space equipment, as well as the combination of modeling, simulations and tests. The results of this paper may help conducting more effective and efficient OT&E and achieving faster fielding of China’s space equipment.
