Abstract:
For the configuration design and the optimization of large complex truss structures, a topology design optimization system for structure with truss (TODOSST) is developed on the MatLab platform based on the semidefinite programming model and algorithms for the topology optimization of truss structures. Firstly, a semidefinite programming model is built for a compliance minimization problem of the truss topology design, as well as an optimization model base by combining different objectives and constraints. Then the framework and the functional module of the software are developed by means of the MatLab tool. Finally, the software system is applied in optimizing the configuration of a large antenna mounting truss. The optimal design scheme by the TODOSST shows a significant reduction of the structural mass with improved static and dynamic stiffness of the structure; the bending moment level of internal joints are lowered in the mean time. The above results provide a reference for the engineering design of structures, and, meanwhile, serve as a verification of the practicability and the effectiveness of the TODOSST for the structural configuration design.
