立方星辅助离轨空气阻力帆技术研究进展

Studies of deployable drag sail as de-orbiting device for CubeSats

  • 摘要: 目前大量的在轨立方星服役结束后会成为长期滞留的空间碎片,影响空间环境安全,因此亟需发展适用于立方星的快速离轨技术。研究表明,空气阻力帆技术适用于辅助近地轨道的立方星离轨,其主要通过展开一面积较大的帆膜,从而增大立方星所受的稀薄大气阻力来加速立方星的离轨。文章对用于立方星辅助离轨的可展开空气阻力帆技术的国内外研究现状、结构设计中的关键技术以及有关空间环境效应模拟试验分别进行阐述分析,并提出未来发展方向。

     

    Abstract: As the service cube-sats in orbit might likely bring about a sharp increase of the amount of space debris, it is urgent to develop a rapid de-orbiting technology targeting for cube-sats. The drag sail technology can be used for de-orbiting the CubeSats in the LEO orbit by deploying a large-area sail film to increase the thin air resistance on the CubeSat. This paper reviews the characteristics of the launched drag sail devices, the key technologies of the structural design, and the related space environmental simulation tests. Some suggestions are made for the future development of the drag tail technology.
