Abstract:
Compared with the test evaluation for common weapon and equipment, the test evaluation for the communication satellite is characterized by smaller samples, higher cost, more complex procedures, and overhead of test resources, to constitute a challenge for studies of the test methods and strategies. This paper analyzes the test evaluation system of the American space equipment, especially the organization frame, the operational procedure, the test items, and the experimental resource of the US army's Mobile-User-Objective-System (MUOS). Some suggestions are made for improving the test and the evaluation of the mobile satellite communication system.
