Abstract:
This paper presents a novel omnidirectional adjustable satellite side panel installation equipment, as well as its engineering applications. This equipment is a two-stage combined lifting mechanism, a height in the range from 1.4 m to 3 m, The installation and the test of the side panel for multiple platforms and satellite models are realized. An attitude adjustment mechanism is designed to integrate the adjusting functions of three rotational degrees of freedom into one single mechanism to allow a convenient operation. Compared with the traditional satellite side panel installation equipment, the novel equipment enjoys a shortened lifting time down to one fourth of the original value, and doubled overall labor productivity.
