Abstract:
The lunar terrain simulation is a key design procedure in the soft landing verification test. This paper firstly provides a detailed description of the lunar terrain simulation by incorporating the design states of the probe with the test requirements. The simulation of the pristine morphology of the lunar surface is carried out based on the statistical distribution of the lunar terrain; a rapid simulation of typical terrains is achieved by eliminating the height exceptional dots and with a modular assembly. The reflective properties of the lunar surface is also considered. The test shows that the above simulation method can comprehensively meet the test requirements, and provide reference data for China's subsequent verifications of the planetary probes and related landing technologies.
