Abstract:
Based on the urgent requirements to establish our own engineering model, the Space Debris Environment Engineering Model (SDEEM 2015) is developed by the Hypervelocity Impact Research Center of Harbin Institute of Technology. SDEEM 2015 provides a description of the space debris environment in the LEO region. The software is designed to be a space debris risk assessment tool for the LEO space activity operations as well as the debris measurements and observations. SDEEM 2015 is valid in the altitude range between 200 and 2000 km, the time range from the year 1959 to 2050. The source data includes the fragments, the NaK drops, the SRM (Solid Rocket Motor Firings) slag and dust, ejecta and paint flakes.
