Abstract:
By using the Geant4 toolkit, we have modeled the interaction process of the most abundant galactic cosmic ray particle fluxes (protons) injected into the water phantom in a manned spacecraft model. The total absorbed dose due to the protons and the absorbed dose due to the secondary particles generated by the radiation are estimated, as well as the total number of different kinds of secondary particles. Final results indicate that the proportion of the absorbed dose due to the secondary particles generated accounts for 50% of the total dose, and the total amount of the secondary electrons reaches the order of 107.
