Abstract:
Space medical-engineering is concerned with the prominent issue of human life and health support in manned deep space exploration missions. This paper discusses some space medical-engineering problems, including the long-term life support, the physiological effect and the protection against varying gravity and other effects in the extraterrestrial environment, the inspection and the maintenance of human physiological and psychological health. overall strategies are suggested for solving these problems. A case of the manned lunar base is analyzed, including the effective schemes of the life support, the protection against varying gravity, space radiation and lunar dust, as well as the inspection and the maintenance of the physiological and psychological health.
