Abstract:
The space object orbit information is one of the most important elements in the space situational awareness. It serves as the basis for the space collision warning, the space debris environment model and many other space applications, as they are all related with the determination of space object orbits. In this paper, the Space Object Orbit Information Software Platform developed at Wuhan University is presented. At the present, the platform includes or is going to include the following functions:the satellite/debris orbit determination (including the initial orbit determination) and prediction using multi-source data, the atmospheric mass density model calibration, the space collision warning and the rapid precision orbit propagation based on the semi-analytical method. The research advances in the software platform are summarized, and the development plans are discussed.
