Abstract: The technical specifications and the development strategies of main international all-electric propulsion satellite platforms and the corresponding satellites are reviewed in this paper, including the technological advantages, the market opportunities and the impact on the communication satellite industry. A strategy for developing China's all-electric propulsion platform is proposed.
