Abstract: A solar array is composed of multiple solar cell strings in series and parallel layouts. As there are so many welding parts, the solar array interconnections greatly affect its reliability. This paper analyzes the influencing factors of the new welded interconnector used in the solar array and carries out welding experiments. It is concluded that the welding parameters of the new atomic oxygen interconnector could meet the solar cell welding strength requirements. This research result can be used in the long-life spacecraft design.
