Abstract:
The temperature influence factors of the one-dimensional turning-unfolded solar wings are analyzed, and an empirical formula to predict the highest temperature of the on-orbit solar array is proposed for the 300~1000 km sun synchronous orbit. The formula can be applied to the low earth orbit satellites, and the prediction results have already taken the satellite's thermal control variation into consideration. This empirical formula provides a useful tool to predict the highest temperature of the solar array in the design phase of the solar array.
