Abstract:
GJB 150A, the revised version of GJB 150 after about ten year’s deliberation, was put into effect on August 1st, 2009. The new version completely adopts MIL-STD-810F “Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests”. As one equivalent standard, GJB 150A is the same as 810F, with some clear differences from its predecessor GJB 150(810C) in terms of compiling format, technical content and standard property. Since GJB 150 has been the most important and widely applied test standard in our country’s military product development and manufacturing, GJB 150A has received much concern from product users and manufacturers since its issuance. This paper analyzes the differences between GJB 150 and GJB 150A in two parts. The first part briefly summarizes the implementation of GJB 150 in 25 years, and the important role it had played, such as guaranteeing the environmental adaptability of domestic military products, promoting the development of environmental test industry, and proposing and improving the concepts of environmental adaptability and environmental engineering techniques. The second part discusses the differences between GJB 150A and GJB 150, including the standard property, compiling format and content of various test methods, and general requirements.
