Abstract: This paper discusses the real time management of product configurations. It is suggested that the sheets of engineering changes could not be identified at the level of engineering design. As a design tool, the field sheets or documents dealing with configuration changes of the product should be controlled in real time and transparently on the platform of AVIDM. Engineers should be encouraged to use them fully to record the configuration and its changes.
